Mammas chore chart

I don't understand how people keep up with their home, take care of kids, have time to spend with friends and workout and I don't even work (well subbing, but that really doesn't count)! So I think its time for me to make myself a chore chart. Jenny at http://littlegreennotebook.blogspot.com/ is such an amaizing decorator and seems to have it all together, she follows a chore chart and still has time to decorate other peoples home, do a TON of DIY's and spend time with her family. She seems like such an amazing person,  but I don't think she sleeps or even sits down..ever! Another blogger that has it going on, a place I go where I really want to feel shitty is
http://iheartorganizing.blogspot.com/ I have never seen anything like this in real life. Amazingly organized.

Here is the link to Jenny's chore chart from Little Green Notebook http://littlegreennotebook.blogspot.com/2012/03/my-cleaning-process-and-500-give-away.html

I need to figure out a way to keep my home tidy, laundry done and everything organized. Sounds impossible, I don't have a maid because I refuse to spend the money so its my job to dust fan's, base bards etc.
Here's my plan

Road goes on Forever and our party never ENDS

A few years ago I was outside with the kids and spoted a piece of shit coming around the corner loaded on my husbands truck. I was all "WTF, how much did you pay for this shit!?"  But, of course I embraced it, grabbed a beer and embraced it. What started as this..

Transformed

My girlfriends and I then started what has become a twice a year road trip to Texas Antiques Week in Round Top, Texas. They hold Prom and it is a blast, we shop all day then get dressed and walk to Zapp Hall where prom is held where we dance under the Texas stars all night long!

This is the morning after picture of our first prom.
A teacher at my sons school told me she saw this and thought it was a taco truck!

My handsome husband setting up camp in New Braunfels

Our first prom

Shopping in Warrenton

One of the many things I have purchased during antique week, this sexy beast is from the EXcess area.

Ultimately the back of the camper will look like this. Fun eh?

Several years ago we were living in Kemah and my husband decided we needed to buy a shrimp boat, so he did and we transformed a working shrimp boat into this beauty. The boat was a blast, we always got lots of looks and were able to sleep on it overnight, where we had one of our best date nights ever. Once we moved it just got to be to much that we decided to sale it.

Teacher Gifts.

Its that time of year, the best time of the year SUMMER. My kids have two days of school and I'm scrabbling to come up with a affordable teacher gifts. My go to gift is usually a beautiful beach towel, a fun Essie fingernail polish and a magazine however this year I can't afford it so its time to be creative. I've wanted to make French macaroons forever and finally attempted today. I followed this recipe http://www.homecookingadventure.com/recipes/chocolate-macarons-with-salted-caramel-filling and they surprisingly turned out well. I can't wait to try them!
Look how pretty

I also made chocolate bark that a friends mother makes, here's the recipe.
2 packages dark chocolate morsels
1/2 cup of salted peanuts
1/2 cup almond slivers
3/4 cup peanut butter
Sea Salt

Melt the chocolate in the microwave and then stir in the nuts, pour mixture into a 9x13" pan lined in parchment paper. Next, swirl in peanut butter and sprinkle sea salt over. place in refrigerator until it harden,s break, then place in Tupperware and keep refrigerated.

I love this blog http://www.youaremyfave.com/category/in-a-box/ and think copying her "in a box" theme for summer would be adorable. A fun nail polish, sunscreen, salt water taffy, a sonic gift card, magazine and a towel (if it fits) would be amazing, if I was made of $$.
Later.

I'm Back. Before & After Screened in Porch

It's been so long since I have blogged, but I'm planning on getting back into it. We have just renovated our home and are finally done, for a while anyway. I still need new furniture but that will come with time. I'll start with our porch renovation.
Before:

 During:

My husband built the hanging bed and the boat that's in the ceiling. LOVE them (and him)!
 After:
We finished just in time to have a birthday party for a few friends and I who recently turned 30.

My plan is to have a outdoor sectional by the hanging bed, a fun rug and some outdoor drapes.
This weekend I hosted a shower for a great friends that's having TWINS.
